What is the difference between car detailing and valeting?
Car detailing goes several steps deeper than valeting to deliver an incredible transformation. Valeting focuses on cleaning the vehicle, however detailing also includes restorative and protective aspects to enhance and preserve the condition of the vehicle. For example, detailing also includes chemical decontamination (iron and tar removal), clay barring, machine polishing and the application of high-quality protection (e.g. ceramic coating). What is a ceramic coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to the exterior surfaces of the car. Once cured, it chemically bonds with the factory paint to create a long-lasting layer of protection. The main benefits of a ceramic coating include:

What is paint protection film (PPF)?
Paint protection film (PPF) is a transparent polyurethane film which can be applied over the paintwork to protect it against environmental contamination, stone chips, and light scratches. It offers far better protection against abrasion compared to a ceramic coating, and is the pinnacle of paint protection in the automotive industry. What is machine polishing?
Paint correction, or machine polishing, is designed to address the clear coat defects such as swirl marks and scratches by removing a very thin layer of paint to reveal a fresh, damage-free layer. This results in an increase in the depth of gloss and colour, delivering a head-turning finish. There are different levels of machine polishing to suit different budgets and requirements e.g. single-stage enhancement vs multi-stage correction.
